Jennifer Bourne

Dance

Jennifer started dancing at the age of 3 in the Creative Dance Program at BYU. At age 8 she began Ballet with Sandra Allen and by age 13 she was dancing with the Utah Youth Ballet which was soon renamed Utah Regional Ballet. She was among the first company members to audition for the Pacific Regional Ballet Association which has now grown into the Regional Dance America. She was a soloist with URB performing many leading roles in various original works and ballets including “Copellia”, “Cinderella”, and “The Nutcracker”. She has worked with many renowned choreographers and instructors, such as William Christiansen, Jaqueline Colledge, Connie Burton, Mark Lanham, Derryl Yeager, Matthew Degnan, Hugh Bigney and Janalyn Memmott. She has also performed with Centerstage, Make a Wish Foundation, and Rocky Mountain Ballet. Jennifer has been teaching for over 25 years at various studios and schools including Jaqueline’s School of Ballet, Centerstage, Dream Alley, Wasatch Ballet Conservatory, Walden School of Liberal Arts, Rocky Mountain Ballet, The Pointe Academy and Utah Dance Academy. Jennifer was the assistant artistic director to Connie Burton for the Rocky Mountain Ballet from 2003–2009. She currently teaches at Pioneer High School for the Performing Arts. She has had the opportunity to not only teach ballet but to motivate, encourage, and inspire students to reach beyond their potential in dance and in their personal lives through her Unconquerable Spirit seminar presentation. Jennifer has had the opportunity to share her Unconquerable Spirit presentation to hundreds of kids at dance studios and most recently at the Limitless Youth Academy Seminar.   Together with her husband Brandon, Jennifer has had the opportunity to influence hundreds of people’s lives through their motivational seminars and mentoring. They reside in Bluffdale and (combined) they have eight children and 5 grandchildren.
