Dr. Kathy Curtiss, Language arts teacher, has completed her Masters of Arts degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with a specialty in Shakespeare, and the masters of American Literature. She has taught High school in New York City at the Humanities and the Arts High School, as well as teaching in the Granite school district. Most of her teaching career was on a College Level, in English as well as Theatre & Film, instructing at the New York Film Academy, Ball State University, the University of California, several SUNY and CUNY campuses, and is a NYC professional director for both stage and screen, working both as a writer and director for the Michael Chekhov Theatre Company, The Oberon theatre, the Scandanavian Theatre Company, The Drilling Company, Bryant Park Shakespeare, and Shakespeare in the Parking Lot. She produces and directs independent and documentary film. Her Ph.d. is from Brigham Young University, and she is the Artistic Director of Renaissance Now Theatre & Film, which produces both in NYC and at our local Castle Theatre Festival in Provo.
